more easy turbo questions

Default more easy turbo questions

what is an ideal compression to have?
and changing my heads will lower my compression, what are a good set of good cheap heads?
and will i need different headers?
annnnd finally will have to pull the motor out to change the heads?(still don't know a ton on the LT1)

crap pulling the motor out is going to be hard for me because I'm tight on space and I've never pulled one out from the underside. is there a way around it?

If the engine is in good shape and your going turbo on low boost you should not have to pull the engine out. You will have to change your headers for most good turbo kits. Why do you want to go turbo. And what is your goal

I'm not looking to fun 9s or something lol. but i want enough to put any ricer in their place.

That didnt help much.I dont know what you want. A LT1 is more than a match for most inports and any ricer. If you need more then a Head, Cam, and full exhaust would make you more than a match even for stock evos and sti's and thats from a dig.

You can pull it from the top.That's how I did it.You may have to remove the ac condenser.
