I would suggest doing a search because this is a touchy topic.
A lot depends on what kind of set up you plan on running, supporting mods, and of course tuning.
The stock bottom end on a LS1 is pretty damn strong and can take a good pounding but any detonation and you can kiss her good by. I ran a 90 wet shot un tuned with no problem in the past. The easiest is going to be a smaller dry shot before the MAF to allow the computer to compensate fuel. However you are going to be depending on the stock fuel system and tuning for all your support. With supporting mods and the correct set up a stock LS1 can handle a 150 shot with no problem. Some have even run as big as 200 shots on bone stock motors but thats pushing it at that point.
This is just a short explanation because i dont feel like typing a two page brake down so i strongly encourage you to use google or the search button and find out for your self.
