Default So Confused

Hello my name is Marcus.
I am 16 years old and looking to buy a Camaro.
I like the 4th gen, i think i like the 99's-03's. (the models with the headlights not caved in)
Im not sure what kind of Camaro to purchase, i have no clue about the engine types, and hopefully you can help.
I want something to be fast, but nothing drag strip fast.
I have about 7,000 to spend on one, what best suites me? thanks.

Alright, so the body style goes from 1998-2002, that i like? and i do know how to drive a stick but not that good at it, i would rather an automatic. Also, this would be an everyday driver so i think ide go with the v6. Now what i also dont know about it whats is z28? an Ls1? and a LT1?i really appreciate you helping me out.

98-02 z28's had LS1's. If you want a fun daily driver I'd recommend a 5-speed v6. However the v8's got great mpg's from what I hear too. Only thing wrong there is the insurance is alot higher. Especially for a 16 year old.

McMarcus, If I understand your question right you are asking what Z28, LS1, and LT1 mean. Basically a Z28 is the trim level of the Camaro where you are going to find the V8 engine. The LT1 and LS1 are basically the 5.7 Liter V8 corvette engines that were put into 93-97 and 98-02 Z28/SS camaros, respectively. If you are looking at purchasing a V6 then none of these would apply to what you are looking for. Hope this helps!
