Default Rear end trouble

Will a 98 firebird rear end fit on a 2000 camaro?

The short answer is yes, I think the axle housings are same for both models and should just bolt in. However, the LS1 and V6 equipped cars have different part numbers so be aware that. Otherwise, the Camaros and Firebirds rear end housing list the same parts numbers.

It should bolt right in,some have different ABS setups I think, maybe some of the other brake parts might be different but I would think you could swap parts off the old Camaro rear end if you have it.
Why the swap, bad rear in the Camaro?
