Default Noob from Spokane

'Lo all.

I've been peeking around the forums and finally decided to register and ask for a bit of advice.

I've had major tire damage from bumpy roads while carrying a passenger, from fender rubbing. Just replaced the shocks and the ride height is the same (uneven). I was told by a shop that the springs looked OK. What should I do?

what yr is your car. what does the rest of it look like? lol, looks like the offset is wrong on your wheels and that puts the wheels out where the fenders chew them up on heavy bumps and when the car has a load. 4th gen cars (if thats what u have) are made with the passenger side a little lower, its said thats to account for the weight of the driver. welcome to the forum and happy holidays.

Welcome to the forum. Your car's not the only one that does this, mine will do it sometimes too. Also my passenger side of the car is lower too. But mines not a 4th gen, mines a 2nd.

Welcome to the forum, your 4th gen will keep doing that until you do something. I had that problem, some aftermarket springs and shocks cured my problem. But I eventually went with the correct backspaced wheels anyway.
