Default 1980 Z28 in Spokane

Hey everyone. I just purchased my first car - a 1980 Z28. I have joined this forum to further my education on this beast.

Thanks!

The only other picture I have is this small one of the rear.

A decent camera is high on the priority list.

Any plans for it, or ideas on what you would like to do?

Glad you asked!

Well, first of all it has some issues. The front shocks need to be replaced, the rear wheels need new rubber, the rear window need a defroster, and finally it needs a new steering column and ignition. None of these issues keep it from being a daily driver, but the point is peak performance. Luckily there are no major issues, the engine was rebuilt, I think in 2005, and since then has a mere 7000 miles on it. Through all this there is the fact that I'm just a 22 year old making minimum wage, so it's going to be awhile before I can afford some of the fixin' up. Beyond what it needs to perform better I'd like to redo the chrome trim and possibly polish or clear coat the entire paint job to give it a little extra zing without breaking the bank. Honestly I am very, very fortunate to have come across this car. Not only is it in fairly excellent condition but the guy offered it to me at a price just on the threshold of what I couldreasonably afford.I had test driven a lot of other similar cars, but none of them even held a candle to this monster in terms of quality.

Beautiful Ride! When I was 12 or 13 my older cousin had one identical to that, he used to take me crusing the mall in that thing, I thought it was the baddest car ever put on earth. I think it's what hooked me on Camaros!! Glad you were able to pick it up, Hope you enjoy it. Welcome to the Forum!!
