Newb here, but not new to 1st gen F-bodies
I've had my '68 SS RS 396 4 speed car since '79, been through a lot of quirky things with it, but it's now sitting at my sisters house after I rebuilt all the mechanical parts, when I had my own shop to work on it at. I lost a few things for it moving out of my shop, but it's almost all complete. Was a nice car for a high school kid to learn how to drive in, lol. I took it to Arizona in '80 when I went to A.A.I. for a year. I know a lot about these cars & have owned about 6 of them over the years. I usually can tell a clone from a true factory car without much trouble, but some know how to change even the smallest details to make it look legit. Anyway I'm hoping to drive my car again someday, but it's going to be tough to do with my current financial status, these things used to be affordable to restore, now everything is a fortune to replace.
Welcome aboard,at least you have a 1st gen to restore,I sold my '69 in '92 for pennies compared to what a basket case with no drivetrain goes for these days.
It needed paint but had a good running 396/4speed.
Wish I could afford another but I don't see it happening, hope to retire before to many more years, still working full time and almost 67.
