Hey guys. My Dad recently restored a true '72 Chevelle SS (took around a year and a half) and now him and I are looking for a '78-'81 Z28 to restore. We'll have one soon enough so I thought I'd join because I have a lot to learn. Here's a picture of the Chevelle (sorry for the bad picture, we haven't taken it out much yet since it's winter).

The picture is sideways for whatever reason and I don't know how to fix that, sorry.

Welcome to the forum. MO is my homestate and I miss it sometimes. You should be able to find a good starter car there for sure. I remember growing up there was always someone with a camaro around, probably how I got the bug.
