Default New Member Any thoughts on a '92 Convertible?

Hello,

I am signing up in hopes that I may soon be the owner of a 1992 Z-28 25th Anniversary Convertible with 65k miles on it. It is running well but needs some work to be really pretty. My wife currently drives a 2010 Camaro LT2.

First off, if anyone has any thoughts on the '92, please post away. I have been a member of other forums in the past and love the amount of info that you can get in these places.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Nice, hope you're getting it for a good deal. I had a 91 RS a few years back. Had the 305 as well, but the Z28 305 has TPI instead of the TBI, better cam and heads. I liked that car, even though it wasn't quick by my standards. I'm sure the extra 35 horses in the Z28 would be quite noticeable.

I'm trying to decide what a good deal is. These cars are all over the place in price. It belongs to my niece. It will need a paint job for sure, but the interior seems nice. She kept it in a garage and only drove it in nice weather. Dash is cracked (which seems to be common). It's in Ohio, but I am in NC. So I have to figure out the best way to proceed. I have always loved the 3rd Gen and having convertible would be great.
