Posting for a friend with a 02 z28 camaro. First time I rode in the car it seemed a little quick. Granted i've ridden in a 10 second TA and this seemed comparable. Over the past year or so the car has outrun multiple cobras and as of recent a Kenne belle cobra. It seems almost to fast for stock. What are your experiences? Is it just normal or is this thing on crack?

 

the ls motor has somewhere in the range of 350hp from the factory. if someone has added some lower gears then it would be a neck snaper. welcome to the forum better get out and find one. lol

 

Yea I might build a drag car here soon. Right now we have a 69 mustang that we're hanging on to and a turbo focus that i'm trying to get rid of. Also have a s10 minitruck that I would love to do the turbo 350 tranny and 350 swap in but it's so light in the *** that the 4.3 thats in it now does nothing but burn tires off.

Right now i got a 68 camrao we are building, and we're dropping a 454 big block bored out to a 510 into the car. But we also have a 98 corvette with an LS7 super charged and it is pushing about 770 horses and 750 FT LBS torque at the rear wheelswe brought it to the drag and it did the quarter mile at about 10 seconds and 0-60 in 2.5 seconds.

 

yea the TA I rode in was a 10.9 with a good bit of work done. His might be a high 11 or something, so I guess not really comparable but why is he beating all these cars. He walked on a mystic cobra with 5 people in the car.

 

If he's high 11's he's not stock. Heads could be changed, a different cam.

 

theres a rumor floating that in 02 some of the z28's came with an LS6 bottom end, would that net the power and possibly be correct?
