i have a 95 camaro has 280K on here 3.4 lt well it starting to be stupid sometimes when i am at a light the camaro just dies all u hear is the fuel pump whineing out but the thing has a half a tank any ideas

 

is the check engine light coming on. have the car scanned for trouble codes. that may be tough being you have a 95, its got a obd1 computer with a obd2 port. depending on the whine it could be the fuel pump. check fuel pressure. can usually use or rent a fuel pressure test gage at your local parts store,

 

i dont have the thing to scan it it is a obd2 with a obd1 computer and the whine is coming from the pump and then u smell rubber
