Hello Everyone,
A new member for the Camaro Forums... at the current rate I'm going, I'll be a member on every car forum there is.
I just recently bought a 88 2dr Coupe. 2.8L 5spd. The body style has always been my dream car to have. It mainly started right after high school when I saw a 87 with a premium paint job and everything. I just feel in love instantly, but had no money for it. Since then I've been looking around, but everything I ever found had an auto.
Then a co-worker was selling his and no less a 5 spd.
It has 80900 original miles and is in decent shape. Needs paint and couple of quirks to work out with the motor. The 2.8 is perfect since I'll be driving it back and forth from work.
My neighbors must think I'm completely insane or something, because I crossed every line imaginable. I also currently have a Ford F-250 SD (diesel; I hate Ford GAS motors), my Chevy Camaro, the wife has a Toyota Highlander, and a 90 Nissan Maxima as my current project car. I bet there are some full blown Chevy and Ford people driving by calling me a blasphemer or something with the Chevy and Ford parked next to each other.
I've got some plans in store for it, I just bought it some new rubber today. But we decided to sell our Highlander first, and get theMaxima back on the road. I'll have pictures as soon as the weather clears up some.

Nice ride! I'm right there in the same boat as yourself.
I just bought a '89 2.8L RS Coupe 5spd as well. It has 85,000 miles on it, and runs great. It has a few dents and nicks in the body work, and needs a new paint job. I drive it to and from school & work, so I really don't need anything much more powerful. I only get 15 MPG as it is, haha.

Well luckily that isn't me. I don't own a single ricer. My Nissan Maxima doesn't fall into that category with a V6 motor, and being built up All-motor. I was actually surprised to find that my 88 Camaro and 90 Maxima sound alike.
I personally can't stand ricers, the worst I ever saw here was a Neon with literally a Coffee Can welded on as a tip. [:'(]

I'm actually still waiting to see what kind of mileage I get. I was shocked when I went to fill it up for the first time and the gas pump clicked off at 12 gallons. My truck has a 40 gallon tank, so I'm so used to standing there for ages watching my paycheck disappear.
