Hi, I jsut bought a 1984 Camaro, Berlinetta and have many questions, hoping to get some answers.
Im an import guy, and recently decided to go American Muscle. I bought the camaro because it was affordable and seemed like it had a lot of potential. It's a V8 model from what im "told."
Any suggestions to buy a new engine, and what kind of engine is the v8 berlinetta?? Im only 20 so im not too knowledgeable....
As soon as i can get the engine replaced and tranny fixed i think im good to go on the aftermarket parts. And also can i get a good link to a website with OEM parts to possibly rebuild the engine?
I also took a look at this website but was unsure if it was legit or not....

If it's original yes but small blocks are pretty much all the same on the outside so who knows in a car that old, only the casting numbers will tell for sure.
Any crate smallblock will bolt right in or you can pick up a 350 block and build an engine, the skys the limit on hp,it'$ all about what you have for a budget.
$4000 will get you one of these,a lot of bang for your buck.

sorry guys but i got another question, is the 84 camaro berlinetta caruberated or fuel injected? reason asking is because i went to a auto parts store and they have an engine rebuilding kit and i need to know if its carburated or fuel injected, not too knowledgeable on parts besides aftermarket.
