Default Just saying hi and need advice about a purchase

Hello everyone.

I'm new to Camaros somewhat but not new to cars. I've built many turbo modern cars (fastest of 12.7) but I've always had a special spot for Camaros.

My dad owned a 67 SS in black when I was a kid but unfortunately sold it when my parents divorced.

In high school my older brother owned a 71 with a 307/Auto. It was slow and primered but I loved it and it was was got me started on cars back then. He sold it when before I was old enough to drive but he used to let me drive it on the backroads in my hometown.

Now I'm graduated from college and have a very steady and healthy income capable of supporting a full restoration so I've decided to purchase a Camaro.

I've located an all original 70 Z28 with original engine and 43,000 miles on the odometer, but it's been sitting for a VERY long time under a car cover. So long that the cover is half deteriorated. The paint is a faded red but it looks like it was probably a metallic maroon or similar. Needless to say it needs a full restoration. I've known about the car since I was a kid and always wanted to buy it but haven't had the means until very recently. The owner is an old man and I've talked with him about it before.

What is something like this worth? I want to offer the owner a fair price and also make sure I do not overpay.

Also where can I get a list of all the factory options for a 70 Z28, as well as what colors were available? I need any and all information on this car before I go check it out again so I can see exactly what the car has and make a fair assessment.

Thanks in advance for any help
