Well....lookin at buying a 2001 Camaro SS. It has low mileage probably 30-40k mileage around that. The guy asked pretty much around $13xxx-14xxx. Is there anything you guys may recommend at looking around for. As to possible problems to look for? Also other things i want to check and ask about.

I heard the rear end is weak from some people.

Does the car have positraction?
How is the 6spd manual?
How is the aftermarket as in pricing?
Power/Handling?
Also another question is it worth it?


This price and car came out me out of notice from one of my dads friends at work. At the time ive been lookin at gettin a GTO but since this price and car came at me. I would rather have a camaro even though the hp difference.

I really appreciate anythin information since the fact this is going to be my project car as well a weekend car since its my 2nd car.

 

i have never herd of a ss blowing its rear end but yes it has a posi the manual is good in all camaros its like any other car for aftermarket ranges form fairly high to relitivly low 13-14 aint bad really and GTOs are bricks with bad trannys unless a gto is in mint condition a LS1 ss will smoke it
