Check Engine Light
I just bought a 2012 Chevy Camaro 1LT V6 with 62,000 miles on it. Been driving it around all day since I got it, I brought it home and did my own inspection on it. Two things. One problem is the OBDII scanner says my alternator is overcharging. I connected a multimeter to the battery terminals, car off, was reading about 12.5 volts which is normal. Started the car with no load, went as high as 14.78 volts, shouldn't go over 14.7 from what I've heard. And when I put a load on it (headlights, AC, radio, etc) it fluctuated, went down to 13.8 twice and seemed to rest at 14.5. Is the alternator bad, should I at least have it looked at by a mechanic? Also I have engine codes which appear to be signaling a bad Transmission Control Module.
Codes: U0073, P2544, P0070
What should I do guys?
