Hello, new guy here. I owned a special order 1978 Camaro Coupe with a 350 engine and a 4 speed. Loved driving that car but what a lemon. Owned it 13 months and got rid of it. Enough of that. Anyway, I've always loved Camaro's. Now, in my fifties, I'm looking to buy a low mileage, '97 Z28 or SS, with the 30th Anniversary markings and hugger orange stripes. Those stripes are sooo bad. I have been looking quite regularly at the Arisona Auto Trader (http://ww2.collectorcartrader.com/search.php). Some seem kinda pricey but this is the car I want.
I am calling on all you '97 Z28/SS owners to prepare me to what kind of problems I may need to be aware of. I have read some comments and they range from the worst car ever to nothing more than regular maintenance.

Welcome Dreamer. Hopefully you find one thats been taken care of. Any car will last a long time if its had regular maintenance done and hasn't been driven hard. Good luck.

A well taken care of car is what I will be looking for. I'm just not ready yet. I have nowhere to put this car when it rains orover the winter months. I am just about finished with my new 26' x 30' garage. That Z28 is gonna look good in there.

Like Corporal said any car that is well maintained is going to be a good car so just matters if who had it before you took care of it
