'96 camaro z28 hood
I had a little fender bender. I need a hood, but have been searching everywhere with no luck. Both OEM & AFTERMARKET. ANY SUGGESTIONS. I've been looking for over a month.

I do not understand, Camaro hoods are not prone to rusting and you can use anyone off a 1993-1997. They are all the same. I have not been in the last few years but even the u-pull yards had them. Is it your area?

Does anyone recommend a body shop in the Myrtle Beach area? Starting to have doubts about the one everyone recommended in my area.

That does not seem right. Most junk yard know exactly what a body shop needs or they don't stay in business long. Body shops are their bread and butter. Its just my opinion but it sounds to me like you are getting excuses as to why they have not started on your car. They are most likely over booked.
In all fairness it is very easy to get over booked in a body shop. You quote a few cars that have hidden damage and a body man gets sick and before you know it your 3 weeks late starting jobs.

👍 I think it may be time to look for another shop.
