Hi Eveyone,I joined this forum to get some advice about purchasing a car. I want to purchase a 69 camaro and restore it sometime in the future. I've been researching books on how to restore and engine rebuilds. I use to work on cars when I was younger but haven't done much in 30 years. I had a 69 GTO, 72 Gran Torino, 75 Monte Carlo and a 81 Turbo Trans Am in my past life. Has anyone taken a step into this with rusty skills or little knowledge of restoration. I want to challenge myself but am wondering how difficult and frusterating this can or will be. I guess I'm looking for a confidence boost. Does anyone have a story similar to mine? Another thought I have about a middle life crisis. I think we don't have middle life crisis, we just have enough money when we get older to do what we always wanted to do. Thats what I keep telling myself anyways! Thanks..

I want to find one in a barn and they just want to get rid of it. I offer them $500.00 and they are thrilled! Fat chance!

I was thinking between 5 and 10K. I am building a garage this spring and may start looking this summer more seriously.

Good luck with your search. Keep your ears and eyes open and one will come along eventually. 5-10k is a good budget for a project 69
