Default Where can I order an icm plate

Been fighting icm burn up cause I get my heat sink on cause bolt holes were stripped so I bent the other plate that bolts to the head and forced sqaure nuts behind it to make it tight I think the heat sink isn't grounding right??

Right now the only way to keep car running I had to remove heat sink and bolt Icm onto plate. Any suggestions?

Putting something behind the module/unit wouldn't cause any harm. There is actually a "cooling mod" to the icm which calls for putting washers and the original nuts behind the unit to space it further from the heads, then adding two new nuts on the outside to hold the unit on. Idk what you meant by having to bend the plates to fit them on?

Straighten it out and make sure the heat sink sits flat. The heat sink needs the contact area to dissepate the heat.

Grabbem88,

You can buy a new ICM plate from a host of sources, from your local dealership to a variety of GM parts sites. Personally, I would check out gmpartsgiant.com on account of their cheap prices for OEM parts. Just enter your VIN to ensure that the parts listed fit your exact model year/trim Camaro.

On a related note, if you're going to try the cooling mod then please let me know how it turns out. I may also have the same issue with my Camaro

You're also remembering to add thermal paste right?
