wheel bearing help.

Default wheel bearing help.

i think i need to replace my rear wheel bearings, what do they sound like when bad and how hard is it to change them?

well i know the front ones pop and make a really loud rumble, also the fronts are easy so im sure its the same for the rear/

Listen for a rumble or groaning sound. And it should become more evident when going around a turn, as more force is put on the outer wheel.

should i replace the bearing only, or the whole hub?

The back wheel bearings a lot different than the fronts. You'll have to get into the pumkin, and take the axle out to replace the bearing. It's not hard, but takes some time because of all the little stuff you have to do to actually get to the bearing.

on the front you have to replace the whole hub. nont cheap because the hub also has the abs speed sensors in it.
