on the stock Opti??? mine is just now letting go (though the car still runs and drives, barely) at 189,192 miles. it's the original one.

so how far have you guys made it, or which one are you on??? lol

lets see, put one on at 63k and put one on at 75k...keep in mind that those 12k miles are over 4 years, a lot of sitting, and it was a cheap one

 

I put mine in at 97k miles. 189k is doing damn good, you sure it's the original one? The opti's usually don't get messed with unless there's something wrong with it. Basically, it means you're going that long without giving the engine a partial tune up.

 

Went about 60k before mine crapped out (on the interstate ugh) went ahead and put in a new water pump while I was in there.

 

Ditto on imalixz28, change everything you can afford to , since your in it that deep. Also read some threads on that opti before changing it, its not cheap and its easy to damage it on the install. 125k on the 1st, 3k on 2nd (oil leak on waterpump seal ) , still running on 3rd @ 7k all GM opti.

 

i got 100k outa mine in the first 93, this one is on mile 7 and i am hoping its not toast already. lol

 

69 - i'm positive. it still had the factory plug wires and coil until about a week ago.

 

130,000 - but had to replace the radiator, opti, coil, and fuel pump all at once.

 

38k ... but that includes,16 years of sitting

 

105,000 miles....
