Default What trans. will work/bolt up? 93 Z28

As I was goin down rd. Car (Auto) was knocked outta gear and right back in under throttle. Im just gonna swap them. Everyone around here is telling me diff. stuff, So my question is what trans will bolt in with min. mods. Just a simple swap?? Does it have 2 be a 93 Z28? What tranny do I need 2 get? PPl sayin I can use t350 with my tailshaft?? I know NOTHING about trannys... And dont wanna buy one I cant use, Or not work after swap. Out of what cars/trucks will the tranny bolt right up? And what do I need as far as modulation? I want it to bolt up, I have aftermarket speedo so thats not a concern. But what is the best trans to run with the LT1? Thx again 4 all post

4l60e will not work in a 93. why use a th350 when a 4l60 is just as strong and you get od? you will want a 4l60, also called a 700r4, and you will want to check the plug on the one on your car, it should be a 5 pin round plug. you will want one with that 5 pin plug.

^ Bout time you chimed in, since you's got a 93. Didn't you say there was a plug difference between yours, and the previous model years' 700R4/4L60?
Like maybe the 93 is unique in it's own for being the only 4th gen with a 4L60?

yes they are a different setup but im not sure if it was used on a 92 camaro or in the 92 vette. the ecu in the 93 is for that transmission as well so im not sure how it would work with another plug. could just not plug it in and run it with the converter unlocked. tranny would not last as long, mpg would not be as good either. patc has a level one for 1350 bucks thats good to 350hp. level 2 is 1950 bucks, with converter, good to 500hp, no core with patc, and thats what i would recommend.
performabuit has a level one thats 1350 bucks, not including converter, thats good to 500hp. i believe they rebuild your core/transmission, i would also recommend this one with a good converter. converter is important. i really like the one i have. its got a 2.5 torque multiplication and is a 10 inch with 12 inch lockup.
