Very doable. You just need to get the PCM tuned to get ride of a lot of the 94 tech. Removing functions is a lot easier then then trying to mate old tech to new tech. Also its a pretty common swap that is almost bolt in.
Just Google "3rd gen Camaro LT1 swap"
I have a 93 project in my garage with on 32,000 miles on the motor and trans. I saw a 92 Vet on craigs list that needs a motor. It looks in nice shape. The guy is asking $3500 but I think he is high I would feel better at $2500. Only down side is I don't think my 6 speed would work since the vets did not use the T56. Course the low miles 6 speed should be worth some money. Just another thing to look into.

Other options that would require less effort would be hot rod a 3.8l V6 - plenty waiting in the boneyards for pocket change and a great V6 as far as V6's go.
Swap to LS1 and '99 LS1 PCM. Sell your LT1 for exchange.
Probaly the easiest option if you really want to use that LT1 motor is an aftermarket EFI controller. There are several that can do the job while keeping the stock '99 PCM to control the accessories. And you will switch to a old fashioned distributor to eliminating the Opti Spark (intake manifold will have to be drilled for this). Downside is these controllers are in the $2,000 and above range.
Hope this helps.
OMT I frequently wonder if a supercharged V6 would be easy enough and powerful enough for some fast fun.
92 would not be so bad if you use a 93 lt1 pcm and harness. lol, i got them and a lt1 setting around for backup. i was thinking the same thing for a while but never got time or 92.
