Your best bet is to have yours rebuilt. '93 is the only year for the 4l60.

I would rebuild it but I have no experience in transmissions, only engines, I also have no place to work on a transmission. So its suppose to have a 4l60 in it? It has a 700r4 in it.

i would think 93-97 trans will bolt up, but i think with 93-94 maros, they were 4l60. newer trans are 4l60e. same trans but the e=electronic. i can check for you tmrw when i go to class. im a GM ASEP student and ironically enough im in GM automatic trans class right now lol

1993 is the only year with no modifications. It was the only year for the 4l60 trans and it is what you have. Earlier years of the 700r4 will fit but must be modified. I think the tail shaft housing and your electrical plug are a couple of the things that have to be changed be I'm not sure what else. So a 86-93 trans could possibly be used. '94 up are 4l60e's and cannot be used unless you buy a separate trans controller that cost like $1500.

700r4 is the same as the 4l60, they just changed the name. like i said in your other thread the 93 camaro auto has a 5 prong round plugin. only year that has em.
