I am nowhere in the shape to spend 1400 bucks on a transmission. If it came down to it I would just get my friend to rebuild it for me (But it'd cost me more then buying the transmission I found)

It sounds like you may be between a rock and a hard place.

Have you checked with any of the local transmission repair shops? Doesn't hurt to ask if they have a 4L60 sitting around that can be modified to work in your car.

That'd be tough to Grand, No such thing as a transmission repair shop where I live, I live in the Hills of East Ky. And I don't know any of the people from the shops that are 50 miles away, Thats the only way I get deals on stuff, is when I know people.

the plug has a wire for each 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear lock, a wire for 12 volt and one to the ecm tcc driver. if unplugged the converter does not lock up.

i dont see how the old 700 r4 is going to work for you, could call up a trany shop and ask them if you can have the 5 pin plug wired into a 86 700r4 and if so how much would it cost.
