ok testerday i was driving in traffic. all of sudden a loud thump came from under the car. at first i thought that i ran something over. then the car start doing that thump every time the car hits first gear. oh yeah i have 95 z28 A4. how long do these trans mount last on camaros. how hard is it to change a trans mount. or will it just be easier to just take it to a shop. how much do shop charge to fix a trans mount.

 

Not too hard to change. It bolts to the back of the transmission and to the crossmember.

 

i had my trans mount replaced a few months ago, it takes about an hour or less to do the work and the mount is fairly inexpensive they go for 60-80 bucks
