Do the 4th gens have this style OBDII computer? Does anybody have a pic that can show the location and mounting bracket that fit this style computer?
I am putting a 97 4.3 from a van into an 84 S10. The later S trucks have the computer on the right and mine is on the left so those mounts wont work proper. The later full size V8 trucks have them on the left but I am just looking for other vehicles so I can hit the wreckers with what an idea of what I can use.

The ECU mounts under the cowl area on the passenger side on a 4th gen. I don't really see a problem with mouting it nearly anyplace it will, just make sure it's away from heat and in place where it won't get wet.
