Default top of engine oil leak LT1

i have a 93 camaro z28. i have some kind of oil leak aat the top of motor. i changed the valve cover gasket a few days ago and i still have the problem. could it be the oil fill cap? i changed the breather gromets and hose so im lost on where it could be. when i turn the engine off the top of the valve cover has some oil on it and smoke pours out from the back of the engine. please help. im not a mechanic so im tryin to learn. thanks

the intake manifold gasket seems to fail on all of em once in a while. the ends, front and back are the problem. u use high temp rtv and it doesnt stay if its not just right. dont ask what just right is. lol. there is a zone in the amount used, if u use to little it wont seal and to much ane u got a big mess.

craby is right. the lt1's are known for intake manifold leaks. he's also right that you have to be perfect when fixing it, lol

Use a degreaser and clean the engine so it is spotless then let it run for a few minutes while watching it and this will tell you where the problem lies. If it is a slow leak go to a parts store and pick up a packet of die, then check it a couple days later
