Oil leak,Seems to be coming from the top of the engine
As you look at the engine from the ground up.Seems to be leaking above the bell housing.Leaks a pretty good bit too.Anything common on these to leak?Sending unit or something? Its a 94 3.4L
In That General Area Could Be Intake Or Valve Cover Gasket. Not Sure If The Sending Unit Is In That Area On 3.4 But Most likely It Is. Or It Very Well Could Be The Distributor Gasket. Sick
The engine in your car was converted from distributor to DIS ignition. Where the distributor once resided there is only the oil pump drive assembly. The top of the assembly includes a cover to plug up the hole left by the missing distributor. This cover has a tendency to leak as the engine gets older, and causes a mess with the oil leaking at the back of the engine. You need to remove the intake manifold, pull out the oil pump drive and reseal the opening with high temp RTV. Put everything back & it should be OK. Also check around the valve covers as Sick indicated.
Thanks for the replies.I think I may just monitor it for a time.It almost looks like you have to drop the engine down some to remove the intake..arghh.I havent really lost much oil yet.It does leak worse when its colder. Then when it warms up it hardly leaks at all.
