Default timing chains

got a 97 lt1 needs a chian . im runnin an electric water pump , so i dont need the drive on the cam spocket can i use a regular small block roller chain ? for some reson lt1 chains are pricey cloyes 349.00 dont understand y thanks for any help.

Rock Auto sells a complete LT1 timing set, CLOYES C-3039 for $78.89. The price you quoted seems a bit out of line.

i herd about useing cloyes clo-9-3145 any body try that its got all the stuff needed vented opti, electric water pump
