Default Throttle Body?

Ive been hearing alot about throttle bodies and i was wondering what exactly are the benefits of those? And about how much do they run?

the throttle body on the LT1 is the dual 48mm throttle body, i think that flows about 650-700 CFM with CAI. but you can get the dual 52mm or even a dual 58mm throttle body but you must must dremmel out the intake manifold inlet to match wich is a peice of cake, that is said to flow up to 1300 CFM maximum with the dual 58mm upgraded throttle body.

Holley has the nicest looking and highest flowing throttle body for the LT1 wich runs about 350-400 bucks.

Not much on a stock engine, but helps a lot for engines that needs more air than the stock throttle body can pass.
