2) Go to pick up car when work is done.
3) But before forking over any money, take the car for a test drive and run it through all it's paces.
4) Find out then and there that you have a WOT problem and turn right around to bring the car back to have them fix whatever they did wrong.
Sounds like you didn't do #3 and #4 (and now you're stuck with "#2").

Oil pressure is great. Im thinking thermostat for the temp issue, as heater is not functioning either. Talked to the shop about the WOT problem the Monday after I picked it up, was told to drop it off. Taking it back in.

Thats what I was wondering as well. I cant find a leak. Ive checked all around the engine bay, and where I park and have found no signs of a leak. The other day when I parked it, when I got out, I smelled burning oil. I let it sit and cool off, and when I checked it I was 2 quarts low. I filled it back up and ran to the store up the road. When I pulled in the driveway, the engine started stuttering so I killed it. I then gave it a couple minutes and rechecked the oil, which was still fine. Thats when I restarted the engine and found that the temp was climbing like crazy.

Well, just replaced the thermostat, refilled the antifreeze. No change. Radiator hose gets hard like pressure is built up, but the engine never gets hot. Temp gauge climbs all the way up, but engine never actually gets hot. Radiator hose was hard as a rock and cold. I shut it off and after about a half hour, the hose was soft so I went to take the cap off, and it sprayed cold antifreeze out. My thinking now is that either my water pump is shot, or I might have a head gasket issue and im leaking exhaust gas into the water jacket, putting pressure on the system.
