Threw timing belt?

While I would hope it would be unlikey that they underfilled it at the shop, it may have been low when I picked it up. I dont generally make it a point to check the oil upon picking up my vehicle after an oil change, so im not sure. I havent been able to drive it to see if its still burning oil since I filled it up due to the overheating issue.
Craby, ill have to look into that. Im unfamiliar with the process, as it varies from how I was taught. The way I do it, you fill the radiator, replace the cap, start the engine, wait until you can squeeze the hose(indicating the thermostat opened) then pop the cap and refill.

Ill have to do that tomorrow. I was thinking also, yhat the WOT problem could be caused by the timing being off. If thats the case, the water pump is ran by the spline drive from the cam sprocket. The problems may be connected. Im just leary of calling it a cooling system problem since it happened so abruptly without the system being opened to let air in. Thoughts?

yuppers
Only one time did I need to bleed the system but after about 1 minute, the gauge went sky high. I opened the valve, let it hiss at me like an angry cat and down came the gauge.

Well, bled the system. Took it out for a test drive. Ran great for about 3 miles. Then the temp gauge shot into the red, the engine started sputtering, and just all around running like crap. I stopped at a store and called the wrecker. Goin back to the shop...

Car has an aftermarket electric water pump. Talked to him when I dropped it off and he was telling me that when they did the timing that the spline drive for the oem water pump had been removed.
