Default sway bar or shocks?

so I've backed off the lowering springs because that leads to too much extra stuff that I don't have the money for. so now I'm debating between a 1 5/16" inch front sway bar (stock is 1 1/8") or new shocks. probably KYB gas-adjust (unless there's different better ones for around the same price?) so I'm asking which one would give better handling such as cornering etc.? I'm not concerned about ride smoothness.

if you I get the shocks now and decide to get lowering springs later, would I have to get new shocks again that are different size or no?

didn't get a sway bar just new sway bar bushings. and I got all 4 KYB AGX and struts. they're easy to adjust, I have them on the stiffest setting and they ride well.
