Subframe Connectors Question
Hi guys,
Question about subframe connectors... As of right now, I am debating between getting weld-on or bolt-on connectors, but not sure what route to take. As I've been reading, it sounds like more people say the weld-on is the better way to go, but is the advantages with a weld-on enough to justify the extra cost of paying someone to do the welding/re-painting? What are the cons of just getting a bolt-on application?
Also, what are some of the pros/cons of getting say, a 3-pt subframe connector vs regular connectors?
I plan on mainly using my Z as a cruiser (no racing), but plan on beefing up the engine some. Any advice would very much be appreciated, thank you.

You can actually do the painting yourself as long as you don't care that it won't match the original body color.
Most paint shops can mix up some urethane and put it in a spray can for you. Then you just need to clean up everything and prime and paint after the welding is done. It will work just as well as paying someone to paint it for you and save you some $$$.

shop charged 400 bucks to install welded in sfc's for me. they just used some red paint that sorta matched and once the road crud gets on it you cant hardly tell its different. sides cant see it unless your under the car. paint is to stop rusting anyways.
Very good point especially since I'm not too concerned about the color the the connectors since they will be under my car anyway. Do you know how much paint shops charge for a little can to match the existing color? And roughly how much area would I have to paint if I were to do it myself? Thanks again.
If you paint everything in satin black, they will pretty much disappear unless you crawl under there.
