i just had my starter take a dump on me...the car starts, but the starter stays engaged. i know this is hard on the fly wheel. and since mine is an everyday driver i had to drive about a mile to work yesterday and thats all..i actually left it sit at work, planning to tow it home and work on it. i dont want to drive it any more than what i absolutely have to for now, but what are the chances anything has happened yet?

As long as there isn't any grinding sound, it may just damage your starter.

might better think about letting it sit til you can fix it. it's a hell of alot easier to change a starter than it is a flywheel. as long as the teeth aren't missing it might be ok. Sick
