Default Won't Rev above 3000RPM, No power

I have a 95 z28, 105,000miles. It has been rebuild in the last 14,000 miles. I broke it in properly. I was getting on the freeway and I had a sudden loss of power. It started over heating a little, i don't remember exactly how much. Now (a year later) if I start it up it doesn't over heat, no white smoke from tail pipe either. It runs rough, won't rev above 3000RPM, and will not go above 35mph. It sounds like its running out of gas, then shuts down. It won't restart right away but if you let it sit. It starts later. Then goes through the same processs. ANY IDEAS?????

Is it misfiring? Check Engine Lite ON? How is the catalyst? the symptoms suggest a clogged cat.

try changing the fuel filter. If the pressure is low that mite be it it would save a whole lot of time and trouble of droping the tank and replacing the pump if that's not it. If it is the filter you may have to change it twice.

Thanks Pete. You were right. It was a clogged cat. Running ~fine~ as hell now! Thanks
