Default more power?

Sorry for being new to this. Just bought a 92 Camaro rs v8. So I am posting this here.

Now, the stock horsepower on this car seems to be low in my mind. Is there anyway to increase that with out breaking the wallet? and there a quick fast, legal way to make this car a little louder. I love the sound of a v8 and I would love to hear it purr with out straight piping it.

well, back to making my list of stuff that needs fixing.

Here's the catback system I put on my old 91 RS a couple of years ago. Yep, no mufflers, and it sounded excellent. A low rumble at idle, a nice growl when the gas pedal went down, and it was actually very quiet while cruising the highway. Found it on ebay, and cost was around $150. Don't know if the seller is still making them, haven't checked since then.

If you just look on ebay for PAH, you are bound to find something useful.

ahh , cool I am not sure legal no muffler is, other wise I would have them pipes ordered atm. I am seen things called "rumblers" and I am not sure if they are worth the money. If so I will get one and keep my muffler.

But I am hoping my 305 will be fine.

i had a muffler eliminator on my camaro and i loved it. it has to have picked up at least 10 hp and i could feel the power increase. the sound it made was awesome. when i revved it, as it returned to idle, around 3500-3000 made an awesome crackling noise. it scared kids, oil people, and live stock. however, it wasnt terrible at cruising speed and the stereo easily dulled it out at just a medium level. if the area you live in requires a muffler, just cut up the old muffler and weld it over the straight pipe.
