Starter

Not sure of any that can handle too much header heat for a long time. If the headers aren't too close any stock starter will work fine for a long time. I've run a stock rebuilt starter on my 427 for 13 yrs. now with headers, and works great.
How close to the starter are your header tubes? You can install a heat shield between the headers and the starter and greatly increase the starter life. You can also get header wrap and wrap the tubes that are close if needed.
