remove heads

Default remove heads

do i have to drop the engine to replace my heads? i should probably let the shop do this but i wanna try and do it myself

no you can take them right out just remove the intake all lines and move the exhaust manifolds out of the way

i would suggest you pick up a factory shop manual for your year. as duck has indicated its not a wam bam job. its not bad if you have the right tools. exhaust can be the most difficult on tearing down and torquing heads on the build can be challenging.

sorry if i made it sound easy but its really not that hard either just follow the book and you'll be good.

aight thanks. i was gonna buy the book last night but i didnt guess ill goi back and get it. yeah im in the army. Im a recruiter in ohio

OK you don't have to buy the book you can get it on ako library they have all the chiltons manuals for free.

chiltons are ok but have limited info. factory is the way to go. heres what you need (two book series) but im sure you can find a better deal. got one for my 93 (one book series) for 20 bucks used on ebabe. http://www.faxonautoliterature.com/1...l--P11332.aspx
