Question Rear end swap

I currently have a '93 Z28 with the 3.23 rear end (auto) but I'm considering an upgrade for added performance. I've heard the cheapest way to do this is to swap rear ends with a six-speed car (3.42) from the junkyard and was wondering if anyone had tried this. I've found one for pretty cheap and I'm wondering if I should pull the trigger. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

well thats a cheap way to do it but your not goin to feel to big of a difference. you'd be better off saving your money to buy 3.73s

that's not all true...i felt a pretty noticeable difference going from 3.23 to 3.42s...if i were to do it over again, i'd probably go 3.73s though. if you do a lot of high speed driving(interstate and such) then i'd go 3.42 otherwise your gas mileage will suffer pretty good
