rattling noises

i own a 95 z28 juct had the trans rebuilt with a shift kit on it. theres is a rattling sound coming from the area where the trans area is. the trans shift great. it makes that sounds the most when at idle.

Sounds like the mechanic left something loose.

Sounds like maybe the dust cover is loose.

IF AFTER YOU CHECK OUT THE TRANNY, YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECK THE CAT CONVERTER YOU MIGHT HAVE HAVE A ROCK CAUGHT IN BETWEEN THE CONV AND THE GUARD RATTLING.

^^^^^^^^^^^ yup, that happened to me too when i first got my z, the guard piece may just bee too tight and need to be pulled away a lil bit from the cat.
