Default Quick LT4 Hotcam Question

I found a really good deal on a lt4 hotcam kit, brand new. I want to put it into my 96 z28, will everything bolt right up? Will there be any rocker clearance issues on the valve cover?

Just want to be sure before I bite the bullet and buy it.

Thanks

The cam will fit fine, but you will have to adjust the drive pin length, depending on the year of the engine. The cam itself without the LT4 heads and intake is no big deal in power production, but it does have a nice sounding lope. I found this out the hard way. lol

Stock push rods are fine for this cam.

if the kit has 1.6 to 1 roller rockers it would be best to measure for the proper push rod length.

i just put this same kit in my 95 z28. the "drive pin" z28pete refered to is the pin on the end of the cam that drives the opti, on my 95 i did not have to move it but just measure the one on your stock cam, if its shorter on the stock cam just carefully bump the pin in until it matches your stock cam. as for as push rods, some people have used their stock push rods with no problem but i just ordered hardened push rods from jegs, they were only $99 and they are hardened so thats what i went with. you wont gain awhole lot of power from it but it does have a descent lope to it. if i had to do it over again i would have went with a different cam but its good for now. oh, and i had no issues with rocker to valve cover issues.
