ok i am trying to understand this my 95 z28 camaro seems to have a oil leak. i was checking under the car and i notice that oil was every where. it was on my wire, under the water pump ,on the timing cover, on the rack and pinion, the oil [pan, and the trans pan. know i have check my oil the oil level is still full. so i was wondering what could cause oil the spit on everything like that. ir i could i have a oil leak that seem bad but the oil level is fine.

 

well, first thing i would suggest changing is the intake manifold leak, feel behind the intake manifold, is it oily? if it is then that is at least one of the culprits.
when i first did mine the leak was so bad, it was leaking by the water pump in front of the manifold, and behind it. could also be your opti seal/timing cover seal.
and if the intake leak doesnt fix the leak behind the motor than its most likely your rear main seal.

 

I have the same problem, but I cant seem to find where its coming from. I have cleaned the engine as much as possible, I thought maybe it was coming from the hose on top of the engine, but I cant say for sure. Have you found anything?

I just had four oil leaks fixed on my 97 z-28, real main, timing chain cover, opti and the water pump, now just today i found a spot of oil on my cardboard!

The leak is in about the same place as the rear main, this time it could be the intake, since it's never been checked.

I'm about ready to yank the engine out and build it up at this point!
