off road pipe

Will puting a off road y pipe on my 93 z28 going tho throw a code? will it mess with my computer?

Nope, all you're going to have to worry about is is you have to get emissions tested you're not going to pass. Your car is OBDI, so it doesn't check cat performance, that happened in 1996 when everything went OBDII.

Just out of curiosity are you running long tube headers? Just a mandrel bent Y pipe will get you some HP over stock, but if you're going to do a Y pipe you should get long tubes and a Y pipe to match so you don't replace the same part twice. Just my $0.02

i have a set of jba hedders but they are shorties they fit the 69 camaro and alot of newer stuff i was going to see if a muffler shop can make a custom y pipe.

Ooh, they're going to bolt up to the heads, but I would be surprised if they actually fit into the engine bay, it's a tight squeeze for anything in there, especially if it wasn't made specifically for our engine bay. Good luck though!

ok thanks i am going to bring it to a muffler shop and ask them i am not going to try and do it myself. if they dont work i am going to sell them and buy the bbk hedders and y pipe and put a test pipe where the cat goes. thanks for you help.
