Default Off road y pipe?

Hey im looking to get an off-road y pipe for my 97 z. im looking for something to bolt up to the stock manifold (its just going to be a temporary thing until i can save the money for nice long tube header system) anyways i just want to get a more aggressive bite out of my car. My buddy removed his cats on his cobra and its 10x more aggressive sounding. looking to spend about $150. any info would be great.

Seeing that you're in Californi, if your car still needs to get emissions tested, it'll fail the visual test.

I was hoping to find a bolt on system so i could just bolt the stock y pipe back on when i get it smogged. Does this make sense or am i way out in left field on this one?

get outa left feild. lol. just given u a hard time. high flow cats will flow very close to not having any. just wait till u can afford the headers and then pick up the high flow catted y. u will be better off money and performance wise.

ok i found a pacesetter lt header and off road y pipe combo set. I think i will just save my lunch money for that instead of messing with the stock manifold. I wanted to get a kooks lt header but can't afford that price. Anybody have experience with pacesetters? Are they good for an amateur?

pacesetters are a good header and a fine place to start.

Do what I did... keep your cats on (well I have high flow spun cats) and cut the rest of the pipes and attach a dynamax bullet race muffler dumped in front of axle
