OBDII kicked in on the '96 models, so yours should be OBDI, unless some rediculous and pointless modding went on...

Some of the cars came with OBD2 ALDL connectors, but are still OBD1. This can cause all sorts of confusion, especially when trying to pull codes without a scanner.

I believe with the LT1 era F-bods, only the 93 LT1 can be jumped with a paperclip (or other tool of choice) to have the codes read.

The 93s are definetely OBD1, and the connector has the OBD1 pin pattern. The ALDL connector is inside the car under the dash, near the steering column.

OBD1 Connector pinout, looking at front of ALDL connector:

F E D C B A
G H J K L M

A ground
B diagnostic request
C-F not used
G keyless entry
H-L not used
M serial data

----------------------------
OBD2 Connector pinout:

1 . 2 . 3 . 4 . 5 . 6 . 7 . 8
16 15 14 13 12 11 10 9

1 not used
2 serial data
3 not used
4 ground
5 ground
6-15 not used
16 battery voltage

I have a 1995 Camaro 3.4L and I've been wondering if it is OBDI or OBDII. So the easiest way to tell is the number of pins? Or is there another way to find out.

Your '95 is probably like mine, it's OBDI, but has the OBD2 connector. I tried to get the codes read once, but it didn't work...
