Can anyone help?
My 1997 z28 camaro makes a horrible clunking noise when im first accelerating it's not the tranny mount, or the torque arm bushing n it is way worse with more people in the car n e ideas?

 

universial joints, rearend, transmission. would help with more info, maybe a recording. is it a slam clunk, does the car jump when it does it? do u feel it in the shifter, steering wheel, seat?

 

Its a cruch noise, n you can feel it n the pass. Seat n under the center console, if im alone i barley hear it but with people it gets bad n it forces me 2 baby it from a dead stop but if im already going i can hit it and it makes no noise, it literally gets worse the more people in the car, i had four people in my car and it was the worst ever, did it from every single dead stop, if i have a passenger in the front its not as bad as one in the back i just cant hit it from a stop i have to drive with my tippy toes.I dout this helps but it also has a plate welded under the torque arm n a high performance tourque arm and other high performance parts underneath . I really appreciate your time n help with this ive asked every mech. I know

 

do u know, is the car lowered? is sounds like either the torque arm, exhaust or the drive shaft is is hitting. can u get under there and see if u can tell were its hitting. should be a clean spot. could be the plate, whatever thats for. is it coming from the middle or a little to the passenger side. it also could be the torque arm is adjustable and is adjusted to far one way or the other. if u do get under the car take a few pictures so we can see.
