New member have a '95 Z with OBD questions
I'm now a proud owner of a '95 Z28 convertible with less then 25k miles. Previous owner was my father, and we have done a few mods: Headers, CAI, pulleys, exhaust, hypertech program. These where all done around '95-'96. My background is from a 2002 Grand Prix GTP that I've modded so getting up to speed with the '95's OBD 1.5 is driving me crazy. I have HPtuner software but it doesn't work with the '95 since it's not OBD II.
Is there any way to get a '95 to be true OBD II without doing an engine swap?
Thanks.

It's not true OBD1.5 since all the codes and emissions requirements are OBDI, the only thing OBDII about it is the diagnostic port. You wouldn't have to do an entire engine swap to get OBDII, but you would have to get a 96+ PCM, probably wiring harnass and I'm sure there's more you would have to tackle that's unforseen as of now. If you're used to tuning cars yourself check out LT1Edit, or if you're lazy you can check out www.pcmforless.com and get it done for you.
